Guess how much I love you

The children´s book “Guess how much I love you” is a huge favourite of mine, and it was the first book that my mother bought for my daughter – the first book she ever got – while she was still in my belly. I remember feeling so emotional when I read it (still pregnant, and with my hormones all over the place), and I imagined how wonderful it would be to read it for my child.

If you´re not familiar with the book, you can read about it here.

On one of my inspirational tours around the internet, I found this adorable theme! It´s a “Guess how much I love you” party, and it´s just too cute!

It could work well as a baby shower theme as well – it´s also suitable if you don´t know the gender of the baby, since the colors are “gender neutral”. Also, it would make an adorable Easter party!

This pretty cake is simply stunning, and really pulls the party together!

Sweet cookies! In this particular party, it was for a little girl turning one, but I think it works just as good for a toddler, and also for a boy!

Wrapping the chocolate is a great effect – I think it would be the perfect guest favor!

Baby shower for a Winter baby

Do you know anyone who’s having a baby in Winter? How about throwing them a baby shower inspired by the time of year! I was searching for bunny inspired parties for my daughter’s first birthday party (oh yes, she loves bunnies!) and then I came across this “Bundle up Baby” – shower from Hostess with the Mostess. I love the cozy details! It’s perfect for a baby shower!

And the best part – you can make it yourself! Here’s the free printables!

I wish I had a pregnant friend to throw this party for! Anyone of you planning to throw a baby shower?

Cute as a Button

My very own princess is already 8 months old! Time really do fly by so fast, and I just want her to stay little a while longer… But she’s too busy growing up, exploring the world and all that it offers. My little baby girl…

Oh well, I guess that’s a good thing. And, in just four short months, she’s turning ONE – and that needs to be celebrated – in style! For a planning freak, and entertaining junkie like myself, that almost means we’re late with the planning already!

Therefore, I’ve started browsing for inspiration for her first birthday party. My first WOW-find is this “Cute as a Button party” designed by Kiss me Kate, which would also work great as a baby shower. It’s just TOO CUTE:

Such lovely colours – and it works for both a boy and a girl with just minor adjustments!

So much detailing in the decorations!

Such a clever guest favor!

What do you think? Isn’t this a good alternative for a first birthday party?

A stylish baby Sip & See

Not feeling up for a baby shower near the end of your pregnancy? No worries! Have a baby sip & see after the baby is born instead! A sip & see it is more likely to have both male and female guests, so perhaps your partner can step in and watch the baby for a little while, so you can catch up with friends and family.

A good reason for having a sip & see is that all of your friends and family gets to se your new bundle of joy – all at once!

I saw this stylish and modern Sip & See over at Half Baked and had to smile when I saw the theme: Milkaholic, because my husband and I used to call our daughter “the little milk monster” because she drank so much milk as an infant.

This theme is also easily adapted to both a girl and a boy, just switch the turquoise with a shade of pink, and you’re on track for a girly sip & see!

The big “milkaholic” sign is so decorative! It helps draw the whole theme together

Love the small milk bottles, so clever! And the framed card with the baby’s name in the same style as the “milkaholic” logo was a very nice touch!

Be sure to check out Half Baked on Etsy as well!

Anyone of you who’ve ditched the baby shower and gone for a Sip & See?

What will it bee?

Since my daughter is still a baby, I’m still in “baby mode” in my mind.

During my pregnancy, we did not want to know if we were having a boy or a girl. Very exciting!

For those of you who DO know, but want to make something special out of the reveal for friends and family, perhaps a gender reveal baby shower would be just the thing. Today, I want to show you a baby shower with such a cute theme:

Isn’t this theme just adorable?
