Become a kitchen goddess

I´ve quite recently taken an interest in baking. I really love it! I’m not much for cooking – but luckily I’m married to a man with great cooking skills – I’m a lucky girl!

I like the baking because it makes me relax, I get to make yummy things for my family, and I can use my love for aesthetics. And speaking of aesthetics, of course every kitchen goddess need to look the part.

Therefore, today I’m going to show you some of my favorite aprons:

I wanted an apron in true Bree van de Kamp style:

And I found it:

Strawberry-Shortcake

This beautiful and oh so sweet apron is from Flirty Aprons – they have so many wonderful models, check it out!
They also have the sweetest aprons for kids – when my little girls is a bit older, she will get a true copy of my pink apron!

Also, I love this model – it’s sweet, fun and pretty! I see it as perfect for the times you have fancy dinners and have your dress on. If you need to wear an apron, what would be better than this one?

Green Gate, which I’ve already talked about several times, have such sweet nostalgic patterns:

And, look at this sweet model for your little princess:

I bet she would love to help you in the kitchen in this apron!

In Leilas General Store, you’ll also find great aprons for both you and your little one:

Love this vintage pattern!

I recently found Madame Choup, and I adore their products. They almost look like dresses! This on is my favorite:

The cupcake pattern was perfect!

I hope you feel inspired to find the kitchen goddess within!

Going to GreenGate

…at least in my mind!

If you still haven’t fallen in love with the Danish brand GreenGate, now is the time to do so! They make tableware and fabric accessories in the most deliciously sweet patterns and colours. Even though we’re just heading into Summer, and Winter is far from our thoughts, I would like to show some images from the GreenGate Winter catalogue that is out just now:

I think the grey, more neutral patterns is wonderful, and it goes great as a Winter pattern on your tableware. Here, you see the patterns Sophie, Star, Nanna and Dora together. And this is why I love GreenGate. They build up their patterns series, so that you can mix and match as you please – how cool is that?!

And here’s an example of some of their cute pastel series:

Also, this relatively new colour series with mauve colours is wonderful:

Makes me this about Fall!

I already have a Christmas china from GreenGate. Unfortunately, this is no longer available, I’m so glad I was able to get a hold of a whole set before it was discontinued; last year I called every store that had the brand, and went around buying bits and pieces to get the complete set! It was definately worth it! Can’t wait to use it this year for Christmas, in our new apartment!

Tickled Pink for Pinterest

It’s official! I’m probably the last person in the world to discover the allure of Pinterest! But now I’ve finally started pinning!

And now  I’m hooked! Too bad I didn’t use Pinterest when we got married – it would be the perfect way to organize all of my wedding inspiration.

I’m updating my Pinterest account basically every day, so check out my Pinterest account for even more weddings, party inspiration, and basically everything I love! You can also use the link on the right side here on the blog!

And please give me your best Pinterest tips – who do YOU follow?

Here are some of my favourites from last week:

1: Cute pastel Easter cake pops! Wouldn’t this be gorgeous on the dessert table for your Easter Brunch?

2: The most excited and cute Flower Girl with the sweetest sign!

3: Baking birthday party! This would be so cool for kids aged 5-8?

4: What a lovely idea for a first birthday!

5: Rocking horse cakes! So sweet! Would be great for both a baby shower, a sip and see, and a first birthday

Gorgeous Green Gate

Happy New Year everyone!
I hope you have had some wonderful days of celebration with your loved ones. I took my little family to celebrate Christmas and New Year with my parents, and we had the best time!

Now our batteries are loaded and ready for 2013!

I just want to show you the wonderful tableware I got for Christmas: The brand is the oh-so-lovely Danish brand Green Gate, and the pattern is called Fay Red. I’m planning on using it for Christmas (just imagine huge brunches with family and friends, with this beauty on the table!), but you can use it all year long!

The best thing with Green Gate is that it is made so that different patterns can go together – check out Lina Red as well – it fits like a glove with Fay Red!

Host a Hope Party

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this very important cause deserves its own party! Throw your own Hope Party to give some attention to it, and if you’re up for it – how about making it a Charity Hope Party, and raise som money for the cause as well? Invite your friends, sisters, mothers, daughters – and ask everyone to bring along some clothes they don’t use anymore. Have a mini-second-hand sale in your living room and donate the money to the breast cancer cause! A party with a meaning – what can be better!

Over at Bird’s Party you can get some wonderful free printables to give your party that extra little someting, just look at these beautiful pictures:

Love the cupcake toppers witht the inscriptions “Courage”, “Life”, and “Hope”!
Aren’t the Breast Cancer ribbons nice?

Cute signs for the cake!

Sweet “Thank You” notes for your guest gifts

I also want to tip about a wonderful tableware series that would go perfect with this party theme:

The Swedish brand Mateus has such sweet patterns – lovely for a tea party:

Anyone hosting a Hope Party?

Wedding dress Wednesday

Since we’re in Spain for the week, eating tapas, drinking cava and enjoying the sun, I thought it would be appropriate to show some dresses from the Spanish brand Pronovias. I considered this brand when I way buying my own dress, and I can tell you; they have so many beautiful dresses, and the quality is really superb. The whole 2013 collection is still not out, but here are some of my favourites from the Preview Collection:

Pronovias Duende

Pronovias Dagen

Pronovias Domingo – love the skirt!

Pronovias Duquesa – probably my favourite! Love the long sleeves!

And finally, one from the Elie Saab collection from Pronovias: Monceau! Lovely!
